Audit Webinar: Lessons learned from the quality control reviews
"Lessons learned from the quality control reviews" was the subject of the webinar session that took place on 13th of June that attracted the attention of more than 30 members of IECnet.
Organized by the IECnet Committee on Audit, it summarized the main findings and lessons to be learned from the quality control reviews carried out last year in the audit practices of our network.
The session was led by Nikolai Slavianinov. The Chairman of the Committee on Audit, Frederic Borràs, underlined the positive approach of the quality control reviews and asked for the collaboration of the members selected.
The webinar session was recorded and is available in the Audit database as it is the presentation.

Redouane Stoti in the Regional Council of Chartered Accountants
Redouane Stoti (Audigroup, Morocco) was recently elected to be part of a young team elected to the Regional Council of Chartered Accountants’ Order in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra Region of Morocco.
He will be leading the Communication/ Public Relations/ Digital Transformation Commission (RPCD), with the ambition of crafting a communication strategy that is aligned with the National Council, managing the Regional council channels, promoting its activities, monitoring digital trends, supporting members in digital transformation of the their firms, designing a website for the regional Council, etc.

EMEA Dakar
Unfortunately, we had to cancel the EMEA in Dakar at short notice due to the political situation. Both our host Saliou Dieye (Fiddex) and the Board did not take this decision lightly, but the safety of all participants was our top priority.
We thank Saliou and his team in the effort and time they have put into the preparation and hope to be able to reschedule the meeting there in 2024.

Board Meeting
On 8th and 21st of June, all 11 Board members met online to discuss IECnet issues. The new fee model was considered, new members and member expulsions were discussed as well.

IBLC AGM in San Diego

IECnet Day (25th of September)
IECnet was founded on the 25th of September 1987, so every year on the 25th of September we celebrate "IECnet Day" and ask our members to celebrate this day: with colleagues, with charity, with cake - or whatever you can think of.
The best action will be chosen as the winner by the Board. As a prize, IECnet coffee trees will be planted. This will yield coffee beans for coffee that we live on and also, provide oxygen and carbon credits.
